Clogs were created in The Netherlands in the 1800's! The Dutch created the clog to protect their feet while they worked in the fields as farmers and gardeners.
It was the 70's that America was introduced to the Swedish clog. The sweedish pop group, Abba brought the clogs alive in their famous song "Dancing Queen."

Today in 2010, fashion houses like Chanel, Miu Miu, Celine and Vuitton are bring them back, lord help us all!
